The slow transition from the courts being closed, to then being solely virtual online, to now having some in person proceedings has evolved the way law is being practiced and justice administered. While most court functions still remain virtual online, some conferences and trials are being held in the courthouses across our county and the state. Temperature checks at the courthouse door, health screenings and masks and face shields have been implemented to ensure the safest possible environment for the safety of the public.
Our office is following in step with the court model by keeping most meetings virtual and online. Telephone calls and emails are being heavily relied on as opposed to face to face in person meetings. If a document must be signed and it cannot be done virtually online we require a temperature check, health screening and use of mask or face shield. Out of an abundance of caution we continue to monitor our staff in this manner to insure the safest possible environment for all.
We strongly discourage unscheduled meetings or the "just stopping by" approach and will require a scheduled meeting time regardless of whether you stop by or not. We spend a great deal of time attempting to protect our clients, our staff and the public from unnecessarily spreading COVID-19. We appreciate your continued cooperation in these efforts.
